Description
IQF frozen wild bog bilberries (Vaccinium uliginosum) hand-harvested from bog and forest habitats in the Ukrainian Carpathian region, processed at peak ripeness within hours of picking. Unlike cultivated blueberries, wild bog bilberries are smaller, deeply pigmented through the flesh rather than just the skin, and carry a more intense, slightly tart forest flavour along with a naturally higher anthocyanin concentration — qualities tied to their wild, uncultivated origin. Individually quick-frozen, the berries stay loose and free-flowing for precise dosing and controlled thawing, with colour, aroma and nutrients locked in at the point of harvest. Supplied de-stemmed and sorted, cleaned and free of foreign matter, ready for direct industrial use. Typical applications: juices, nectars, smoothies and purées, jams, preserves and fruit fillings, bakery and dairy inclusions, dietary supplements and anthocyanin extracts, natural colouring, and wild-fruit liqueurs and syrups. IQF freezing preserves the anthocyanins, texture and characteristic wild aroma. Sourcing is fully traceable from forest to finished pallet, and processing follows HACCP standards; organic-certified lots are available on request. Packaging: 25 kg multi-layer paper bags or 400 kg industrial octabins. Storage at –18 °C. Minimum order 500 kg. Delivery across the EU on FCA, DAP or DDP terms, with full export documentation.

FAQs
This premium Carpathian ingredient is available in industrial-grade fresh forms during peak harvest, or as premium Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) selections year-round. Depending on your manufacturing specifications, we can offer the product color-sorted, calibrated by millimeter size, or semi-processed to integrate seamlessly into automated food production lines, dairy manufacturing, or industrial baking applications.
Yes. While fresh, non-frozen batches are strictly tied to our seasonal harvesting calendar, our IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) fruit products are processed at peak nutritional maturity and stored in deep-freeze facilities. This advanced preservation enables us to guarantee a continuous, uninterrupted wholesale supply to our B2B partners 365 days a year, regardless of the crop's calendar season.
To preserve cell structure, flavor profile, and total food safety, strict cold-chain protocols must be followed. Fresh orders require immediate humidity-controlled refrigeration and rapid processing. Our IQF deep-frozen products must be maintained continuously at a stable temperature of -18°C or lower to prevent enzymatic degradation and clustering, ensuring full compliance with international HACCP safety guidelines.
The commercial shelf life depends entirely on the product form. Freshly harvested batches are highly perishable and require immediate food processing or distribution within a few days under refrigeration. Our IQF frozen items possess a robust shelf life of 12 to 24 months when held continuously at -18°C, retaining their natural color, structure, and microbiological stability.
