Description
IQF frozen chokeberries / aronia (Aronia melanocarpa) from the Ukrainian Carpathian region, processed at peak ripeness. Aronia is prized as one of the richest natural sources of polyphenols and anthocyanins of any temperate berry, giving it an intense near-black colour and a firm, dry, astringent character that suits industrial processing far better than fresh consumption. Individually quick-frozen, the berries stay loose and free-flowing for precise dosing and controlled thawing, with colour and bioactive compounds locked in at the point of harvest. Supplied de-stemmed and sorted, cleaned and free of foreign matter, ready for direct industrial use. Typical applications: juices, nectars, concentrates and syrups, jams, preserves and fruit fillings, dietary supplements and polyphenol extracts, natural colouring, functional foods and teas, and wines and liqueurs. IQF freezing preserves the polyphenols, anthocyanins and characteristic tartness. Sourcing is fully traceable from field to finished pallet, and processing follows HACCP standards; organic-certified lots are available on request.
